Gerard van Duykeren

Chief Executive Officer of ICMS, the parent company of The Security Company in The Netherlands and Showsec, United Kingdom.

He has worked in the events security sector for 40 years. He is the initiator, creator and designer of the 1st Minor Education Program in Holland in the field of security events; Event Crowd Management at the Utrecht University.

He has put down some of his experience on paper, this resulted in him writing the Event Security Officer book and the Event Supervisor book, he has now written 4 books on Crowd Management topics. He initiated and co-wrote the quality document, code of practice for events security (NEN NTA 8020-30)

Van Duykeren regularly gives lectures on Crowd Management and Event Security. He is Executive Member of the Yourope (European Festival Association) Event Safety Group.

Mr Van Duykeren is a member of the Central Examinations Committee (SVPB) and board member of the Foundation for Professional Education for the Events Security (OEHB).

He also is a member of the board of the Dutch Crowd Management and Event Security Association. Van Duykeren is a board member of the Dutch Event Industry Association (VVEM)
